You are invited to become a member of the 2002 CAA archeological team!

Join our archeological team as we investigate the Koster South site. An introduction to archeological method and theory is presented for beginners while more experienced excavators are given the opportunity to focus their study and expand their knowledge and field skills. Participants work closely in the field with staff archeologists and are introduced to laboratory techniques and artifact analysis. Evening lectures and hands-on activities give participants a broader understanding of archeological issues. Day activities concentrate on excavation with evenings devoted to laboratory processing and past lifeways.

Summer is an exciting time to be in residence at the Center; research associates, students, and staff from across the country come together to create one of the most unique scholarly experiences in North American archeology.

If you have wondered what doing archeology is like - let us show you. If you are an "old hand" at archeology - we welcome your contribution to this new research program.
