Explore 12,000 years of prehistory using hands-on activities

Dates: April 8 - May 17, 2002
September 23 - November 1, 2002

This is a residential program for school groups. An introduction to the diversity of Native American cultures throughout prehistory, the scope of their technology, and how culture is interwoven with environment. Students explore various native technologies through hands-on involvement that may include flintknapping, ceramics, basketry, house building, horticulture, and other activities. Emphasis is placed on understanding how archeologists reconstruct the past. Teachers work closely with our instructors to arrange a schedule of activities that will enhance their in-school curriculum.

Average program is 3-5 days.
Minimum number of participants: 10 students
Maximum number of participants: Pending availability


One chaperone per 15 minors is required - one per 10 is suggested


Audience: 3rd grade to high school seniors

Cost: Call for Current Price.

Fees include room & board plus ALL supplies.
