Women in Archeology Internship Program
Dates: June 10 through August 18, 2002 (flexible)
Application Deadline: April 19, 2002The Center offers several promising and talented female students the opportunity to become integral members of the Center's research team. The Women in Archeology Internship Program provides a multifaceted learning experience as interns are involved with a variety of projects and work closely with research and education staff. Part of the internship experience includes working with and instructing summer field schools. In addition to teaching and research, interns enjoy the dynamic atmosphere of the Center during the field season, working closely with women archeologists and interacting with other visiting and staff archeologists.
Applicants should have some backround in archeology (course work and/or field experience) and an interest in archeology as a career. Outstanding high school seniors, undergraduates, and graduate students may apply.To apply for the internship: forward a letter of application that includes the following: 1) a summary of your archeological experience; 2) why this internship interests you; and 3) current status as a student.
