Hello, I am Bonnie Etter. I am from Eagle River, Alaska. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Archeology and Classical Studies at Johns Hopkins University, and a Master’s degree in American Archeology from Cornell University. In the fall I will be starting my PhD at Southern Methodist University, where I will focus on the application of Geographic Information Systems and other computer based applications in Archeology. I gained field experience as a student and excavation supervisor at the Poggio Civitate Field School in Tuscany, Italy. I have also worked as a volunteer at the Coriglia excavations in Umbria, Italy, before becoming a site supervisor at Treeman State Park excavations in Ithaca, New York. Most recently, I have been working as an archeological technician for SWCA Environmental Consultants, where I have had the opportunity to work on projects in Wyoming, Oklahoma, Texas, North Dakota, and Colorado. In my free time I enjoy playing with my dog, Sadie, cooking, and ultimate Frisbee.
