Give your family the opportunity to learn about prehistoric peoples and archeology and explore the scientific process. Family Excavation Day combines an introduction to archeological excavation with the exploration of prehistoric life. Join us for a fun day of discovery!

Program Details: The program runs from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on Saturday, June 13 and August 1. Tuition is $40 per person and covers supplies and instruction. Food is not included in the program. Bring a picnic lunch or dine at a local restaurant. View the tentative schedule.

Who May Enroll: Children ages 7-13 and their families and guardians.

Upon receipt, we will send you a confirmation by email, a packet of additional information, and instructions for payment. Either full payment or a 30% deposit will secure your spot in the program.

Registration for the program closes one week prior to the start of each session. Register early to reserve a space for your family. Enrollment is limited to 15 people per session.

By checking the box below, participants and parents/legal guardians of minors understand that participation in Family Excavation Day will include, but is not limited to, physical activities that may be strenuous and involve common excavation tools. Field conditions can be uncomfortable and may be hazardous. Participants may be transported in buses, trucks, automobiles, and ferries. In consideration of permission from the Center for American Archeology to participate in its programs, and for other valuable consideration, the checked and his/her representatives, assigns, heirs, and next of kin fully release the Center and their employees, agents, successors, assigns, and all persons directly or indirectly liable, from any and all claims resulting from any loss, damage, injury, or death sustained by the participating, arising from: ownership, operation, use, maintenance, or control of any vehicle; use of any facilities; use of any equipment; participation in any activities; and any pre-existing physical condition or disability of the participants.
