Family Excavation Day participant learning how to map artifacts

Give your family the opportunity to learn about prehistoric peoples and archeology and explore the scientific process. Family Excavation Day combines an introduction to archeological excavation with the exploration of prehistoric life. Join us for a fun day of discovery!


Program Details: The program runs from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on Saturday, June 13 and August 1. Tuition is $40 per person and covers supplies and instruction. Food is not included in the program. Bring a picnic lunch or dine at a local restaurant. View the tentative schedule.

Who May Enroll: Children ages 7-13 and their families and guardians.

Participants get to wash the artifacts they excavate

Enrollment Process: Complete the following forms and return them to the CAA along with your 30% deposit or full payment.

Upon receipt, we will send you a confirmation letter and a packet of additional information.

Registration for the program closes one week prior to the start of each session. Register early to reserve a space for your family. Enrollment is limited to 15 people per session.
