Housed within the historic Kamp Store on scenic Highway 100, the CAA Visitor's Center features artifacts, exhibits and media presentations highlighting culture history and archeological discovery within the lower Illinois Valley. Our Museum store offers a variety of CAA publications and merchandise on archeology, regional history, ethnohistory and traditional technologies.

A focal point of group tours and a meeting place for travellers to Kampsville, the CAA Visitor's Center displays exhibits and artifacts that document the prehistory of the lower Illinois River Valley.

Recently restored thanks to grant support, the historic Kamp Store serves as home for the Visitor's Center. Named to the National Register of Historic Places in 1994, Kamp Store was a center of economic life along the rural river way.
