Tonight, Taylor Thornton will be presenting “More than Mound Building: A Zoo-archaeological Study of the Mound House Site in the Illinois River Floodplain” at the Annual Anthropology Senior Capstone Conference, part of the University of Illinois Undergraduate Research Symposium. Her presentation reports results from her analysis of faunal material from a large, complex pit feature (F379) at Mound House.

The presentation is at 6:50 PM at 161 Noyes Laboratory, UIUC, and open to the public.

Taylor was an Arizona State University Field School student in 2010. She has been a member of the field staff since 2011. Taylor will be joining us again this summer as Assistant Field Director at Mound House.

Good luck, Taylor!
